Brett R. Miller, PS - President
Brett earned a Bachelor's degree from Purdue University at Fort Wayne in Civil Engineering Technology. He has been in the surveying industry since 1993 and became Professionally Licensed in Indiana in 2003. His experience includes construction staking, topographical and boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, subdivision design, land planning, and all aspects of land surveying. Brett also oversees day to day operations and quality control. He is a member of the Northeast Chapter of the Indiana Society of Professional Land Surveyors.
Brett has been married since 1996 to his wife Kelly, and they have three children—Tucker, Jordan, and Abby. He is a member of Cornerstone Community Church, where he and his family attend. In his free time, Brett enjoys watching his children’s events, spending time with his family, and occasionally golf.
Darrin S. Good, PE
Darrin received his bachelor’s degree in Construction Technology from IPFW in 1991, and successfully obtained his Professional Engineering license in 1998. With over 30 years’ experience in both the private and public sectors, his work in site design and government regulation brings together all aspects of residential and commercial developments.
Cliff Patterson - Project Manager/Designer
Cliff attended Tulsa Junior College in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He moved to Fort Wayne in 1986 and
has over 30 years experience in the site design of residential, commercial and
industrial projects through-out Northeast Indiana. Cliff utilizes the latest design software,
including Autodesk Civil 3D, in the preparation of project construction plans as well as
grading surface models for use in GPS grading systems. Cliff has been married since 1994 and
has one daughter.
Graham Lewis - PROJECT MANAGER/DESIGNER
Graham earned an Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering Technology from Purdue University at Fort Wayne. His experience began in 1999 working for various Engineering/Surveying consulting firms in Fort Wayne and Indianapolis. Graham specializes in a wide range of commercial site development and redevelopment projects ranging in size from 1 acre to 200 acres. He enjoys spending time with family and cooking on the grill.
Cody Ward - PROJECT MANAGER/DESIGNER
Cody earned a Bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University in Civil Engineering. He has been in the construction industry since 2008 and has vast knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, his experience includes: site design, storm water analysis, on-site sanitary systems, lift stations, Rails to Trails, and industrial mineral / coal permitting. Cody is also a ACI Certified Concrete Field Testing Technician. He enjoys renovating his house and traveling.
Ben Johnson - Engineer Intern
Ben is currently attending IPFW University in Fort Wayne, seeking a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He is expected to graduate in the Spring of 2019. He graduated from Adams Central High school in the Spring of 2015 with an Academic Honors Diploma. Ben has been working at MLS Engineering since 2016 and plans to receive his Professional Engineers licenses.
Ben enjoys being an active member of Cornerstone Community Church, where he attends with his family and is involved with the worship band on Sunday mornings. In his free time he enjoys being outside working on his many and vast projects.
Trey Schultz, EI - Engineer Intern
Trey earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Purdue University at Fort Wayne in Civil Engineering, and has passed the Indiana Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam for the Civil Section. He gained construction experience as a foreman for six years at a general contractor in Fort Wayne before joining Miller Land Surveying in January of 2016. His experience includes boundary surveys, topographical surveys, construction staking, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, and the use of GPS and Robotic Technologies. He is also a member of ASCE, the American Society of Civil Engineers.
Trey has been married since 2013 to his wife, Jessica, and they have one child named Sage. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, and attends the United Brethren Church in Monroe, IN. Trey also enjoys the outdoors, and if he has any spare time, it is spent hunting or fishing.
John Hammond - Accounting
John earned a Bachelor's degree from Manchester College in Accounting and is responsible for the company's bookwork as well as being a survey crew chief. He has been in the surveying business since 2006 and his experience includes construction staking, topographical and boundary survey, ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, and use of GPS and Robotic Technologies.
John has been married to his wife Stephanie since 1997, and has 5 children. He is a member of St. Mary’s of the Assumption Catholic Church in Decatur, where he and his family attend. He is also a football coach at Adams Central High school and enjoys spending time with his family and watching his kid’s events in his free time.
Kati Greenway - Administrative Assistant
Kati has been with Miller Land Surveying since 2016, where she operates as the front office Administrative Assistant. She is in charge of most general office duties including greeting guests, answering phone calls, time sheet tracking, creating and maintaining spreadsheets, and filing paperwork. Kati also runs errands for the office including delivery/retrieving files and property research.
